Artwork Information & Upload Instructions

This is where you can find out more information about setting your art to the correct specifications for printing and how to go about sending your artwork to us. For some displays, we will have to provide you with a template. If you're not sure if you require a template or have any additional questions in regards to setting and uploading artwork,please contact us at your convenience.


Optional Design Services

If you do not have production ready artwork to send, Metropolitan Display can help! We offer no-charge simple layout and design services, or fee-based complex design for more customized and complicated layouts. Our design staff has years of experience. Please see below for more information about our design services.



If you wish to send your print-ready artwork files, please see the following information:


File Specifications

  • Accepted File Formats: High-Res Adobe Acrobat or Illustrator w/ all text converted to oultines.
  • Please embed/flatten all images.
  • Resolution: Prep file at original or no less than 50% original size. Set at desired resolution.
  • Bleed/Trim: All bleeds should be set at .25-.5". Set crop marks at desired trim lines.

  • Please use our No-Charge YouSendIt.com Drop-Box to upload files up to 2 gig. You do not need an account to use this service, and the artwork will automatically be routed to our art department.


  • Make sure to include your Order Confirmation Number or Invoice Number so we can quickly match up your artwork with your order. Uploads missing this information may cause delays in processing your art. There is also a section for comments regarding your upload.

    Design Services

    At Metropolitan Display we want your signs and graphics to reflect your business and messaging beautifully, with your unique sense of style and flair. Our in-house and freelance designers all have years of experience and talent. We currently offer 2 types of design services:Free Simple Design and Fee-Based Complex Design. If you're not sure which method is best for you, our staff can advise based on information you provide, including mock-ups, pictures, and content. Each project is reviewed and subject to the discression of our graphics staff.


    Free Simple Design: Perfect for fast, simple, clean layouts that consist of text only (no images). Full color design, and sometimes fancy borders, etc., are included at no-charge. All artwork is set to production-ready specifications.

  • Included:
  • - One initial layout and One revision.
  • - Additional revisions are available for $25 each


    Fee-Based Complex Design: For a more complicated design featuring photos, fades, and complex elements, you're new graphics will reflect your messaging and identity with extra flair. Our designers will capture your look & feel, and all final outputs are set to production-ready specifications. The hourly rate is $39/hour, however we prefer to review the project in entirety to provide the best overall value.
